Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas + Ashley's Cruise Style

Words cannot express just how much I love Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas. Considered one of the "classic" ships within the fleet, she lives up to her regal title {and you can trust me on this one, as we all know my nickname is "The Duchess!} In today's world, so many cruisers have a "bigger is better" mentality--and although there is nothing wrong with larger ships in the Oasis, or even Freedom, class-- I still prefer, and really appreciate, the small + intimate environment that ships like the Majesty {as well as the Enchantment + the Jewel} provide. I feel that the quality of service, the quality of cuisine and the ability to establish a better crew/guest rapport is something only a smaller ship can truly master.

The Majesty of the Seas recently began sailing from Port Canaveral, Florida. She was also newly refurbished to create an even better adventure at sea, with the inclusion of a water park for kids, updated staterooms + lounges, as well as several new culinary experiences {not to mention VOOM!--the best wi-fi you'll find sailing the Atlantic...even faster than what I have in my own home--maybe I should live on the ship!?!}

One of my favorite things to do whilst at sea is dress up at night. I feel that this is a "lost art." Believe me, you can enjoy yourself MORE feeling fabulous in a nice dress and heels. Vacation may be a time to let your "hair down," but don't lose your fun + flair in the process {I've witnessed guests wear the same thing, every day, for almost two weeks--shameful!}

I hope you enjoy this little tour of my new favorite ship, as well as my style at sea!

Day One: Port Canaveral

dress: Lilly Pulitzer {similar style here} || clutch: Lilly Pulitzer
shoes: Tory Burch {retired color of Hudson Blue}
bracelet: Hermes || earrings: Lilly Pulitzer

Day Two: Coco Cay, Bahamas {+ Formal Night}
cover-up: Angie {similar style here} || wristlet: kate spade || shoes: Tory Burch
sunglasses: Tom Ford

A fun hangout on Royal Caribbean's private island, Coco Cay. Here you can grab a "Coco Loco" and relax in a hammock under a palm tree listening to the sounds of reggae.

dress: J. McLaughlin {similar style here} || clutch: Vintage Prada {similar style here} || shoes: Vintage Manolo Blahnik {shop the Carolyne--my favorite!--here}
earrings: Kenneth Jay Lane {similar style here} || bracelet: Vintage Romanov Faberge

Day Three: Nassau, Bahamas

 My favorite lounge! This is a must on any Royal Caribbean ship. Nautical ambience, great music {from piano to classical guitar}, trivia {I'm tops at 80s music--I even surprise myself with my Jeopardy-inspired skills!}, and the best "people-watching" around.

This is MY table! Just add Pinot Grigio {and a "reserved" sign.}

dress: Karen Millen {another "closet raid"--this time courtesy of Y&R's Victoria Newman--thanks, Amelia Heinle!} || shoes: Manolo Blahnik || clutch: kate spade {summer 2014}
bracelet: Hermes

Day Four: At Sea

A view of the new children's water park + pool deck {as seen from the beautiful Viking Crown Lounge.} The best views of Nassau and the rock climbing wall can also be found here.
 top: Feratelli {boutique} || leggings: a.n.a. || shoes: Charles David {similar style here}
watch: Citizen {similar style in silver here} || bracelets: Tory Burch {similar style here} || clutch: Chico's {similar style here}

 My sinfully delicious Cafe Latte-tudes treat {yes, this croissant was SO divine that I was seriously considering creating a separate post just to rave about its loveliness.} It's glazed and even better than a cronut {prepare to get your hands dirty with this one--but it's so well-worth it!} On the bright side, The Majesty of The Seas offers you a wonderful gym + top-of-the-line spa treatments to work off this beauty.} ; )
